Excellent Book

This book is an excellent reference source. I do believe you need to use different sources of information when you are trying to learn new concepts. This is one of them. Unfortunately as soon as you become familiar with the new concepts and technology it becomes outdated or upgraded so you are constantly spending money to keep up with technology.

I work as a Flight Instructor and advise all of my clients to purchase this. The combination of this book and the Garmin Simulator Software are great time and money savers.

One more for the reference library!

Easy read and well organized. I have about 100 hours in the G1000 and still found it useful. I think for the first time user the Missed Approach Procedure could be expanded.
I would also add a chapter on practical aspects of flying the G1000: SRM, progression plan using the G1000, checklist usage strategies, division of duties with two pilots, IFR departure in uncontrolled environments....
The TAA and specifically G1000 deserve classroom, CFI instruction and independent study. This book will be a great addition to your reference library. Please don't read this and think you can fly the G1000 - let alone IFR!
