About the Author
James Wong grew up in Malaysia and Singapore. He trained at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew and gained an MSc in Ethnobotany from the University of Kent, graduating with distinction. His research has taken him to highland Ecuador, as well as to China and Java. He now lectures at the University of Kent and has also co-designed and built two RHS medal-winning gardens (in 2004 and 2008), which were designed to show that there is more to plants than 'looking pretty'.

Very helpful and easy to follow recipes

Great easy to understand and follow recipes in the informative book. Have watched James Wong series on British TV and really enjoyed them and very happy I found the book. Anyone who is interested in nature diet and health should get this book. People interested in historic self-cures would also like this book. I will eventually purchase his other books.

This book is full of different ways to make and grow your own traditional medicines. It's fantastic to see people rediscovering the ways our ancestors healed themselves. So much knowledge lost. This book is a start at recovery.
