New coverage of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Extensive updating of text graphics to comply to most recent ANSI standards. New "Graphics Spotlights" feature that highlights a particular use of graphics in industry. A decrease in the overall size of the book. Instructors have told us that students are finding books too large. However, they want their students to have access to important reference material. To achieve both these goals, we have eliminated the chapters on Graphs and Diagrams and Alignment Charts included in the last edition, and included them in Adobe pdf format on a free CD. This new manual prepared by Tom Kane of Pueblo Community College includes outlines, teaching tips, extra quiz questions, and other tools designed to aid in class preparation. In addition, this manual comes with a new CD-ROM containing answer files for over 450 Giesecke drawing problems. The problems are in both dwg and dwf form for easy electronic access and display. This CD also includes pdf files of all art in the text for quick integration in course web pages. Instructors have long asked for this supplement and we are happy to provide it with the new edition.

... to do with the book - it came in great condition - my problem was I ordered two books ...

This rating doesn't have anything to do with the book - it came in great condition - my problem was I ordered two books and only got one. Understanding things can get mixed up in transit (or whatever), I waited a month or so before sending an email asking about the book. I was hoping to get a quick response but never got one (I think?). It is what it is. Anyway, this is an awesome book for anybody looking for an introduction to drafting standards/methods; I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about a starting position in the technical/mechanical drafting field. The book offers a lot of great visualization exercises that involve different follow-along practice methods for complex modeling.

Not real happy

The book arrived on time and for that I have no problem, the shipping service worked great. My unhappyness results from the book not being complete. During a recent classroom session we were directed to turn to the appendix, imagine my dismay when the appendix was not in the book. A further review of the book revealed several of the photos were not present and in place of the photo "FPO" in place of the graphics.

Book came as advertised, in good condition. The text will be a good way to self teach technical drawing.
